INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING TERMS

A NOTE ON SAVING MONEY ON INTERNATIONAL ORDERS 

Many carriers (including UPS) charge brokerage fees for imported shipments.  These can be very expensive.  We have the most experience with UPS and have a few notes below that may help you save some money. 

The information below is accurate as of 4/20/2024 -- UPS changes these terms often and makes it quite difficult to track down online.

  • Shipments sent via UPS Standard incurs a LARGE brokerage fee for most swivel shipments (more expensive orders have higher fees)
    • FOR CANADA: This brokerage fee is roughly 65 USD for a swivel purchase.
    • FOR OTHER COUNTRIES: you can find the brokerage fees by contacting UPS.
  • Shipments sent via UPS Worldwide Expedited do NOT incur brokerage fees, regardless of shipment value


Other UPS Fees will apply regardless of method -- but in our experience -- the brokerage fee is the one that stings.


In most cases, we’ve found that UPS Worldwide Expedited is(most likely) the cheapest option after accounting for all fees.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING POLICY


We are happy to ship anywhere on Earth.  However, given the added cost of import tarriffs, duties and other taxes or fees, we want to be clear about what is and what is not included in your international shipment.  Shipments to other planets is not available. 

Below is our international shipping policy:

  • Your purchase from Ironcloud Metalworks includes ONLY product costs and costs related to the actual shipping fee.  This does not include any additional fees -- such as any brokerage fees, tariffs, duties, taxes, fees, or any and all other fees related to the package. 
  • By completing your purchase, you agree to pay any and all additional fees to ensure your package is delivered. 
  • If the package is marked as undeliverable (e.g. it is held in customs since you did not pay import fees/duties/etc.): you agree to cover any return shipping charges to return the package back to Ironcloud Metalworks.  This cost will come out of the amount refunded to you provided the item returns to Ironcloud Metalworks in an unused condition and is resaleable.
  • If the item or package is destroyed or damaged due to a failure cover any additional fees related to your shipment, you will not receive a refund for your product or shipping.
  • Under any condition, Ironcloud Metalworks is not obligated to cover import fees/tariffs/duties or any additional fees for your shipment.



 

PRODUCT PURCHASE POLICY

By completing the purchase of any of our products (which includes, but is not limited to, Awning Brackets and Swivel Seat Bases), you (the “purchaser”) agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Please be clearly informed that by accepting these terms and conditions, you hereby release Ironcloud Metalworks, its parent company, and any representatives of this website and / or the companies (referred to going forward as "us" or "we"), from any and all liabilities associated with the installation and use of any of these product(s).
  2. Awning Brackets:
    1. These awning brackets are custom-made parts designed to enable users to mount an ARB awning or Napa/Maxi-Trac awning on a Chevy Astro or GMC Safari with the OEM roof-rack.  We advise checking the clamping mechanism often during use.
    2. We do not provide any guarantees, at any point in the product's lifespan, for any components and / or parts, for their performance, function, and durability (including cosmetic).  
  3. Swivel Seat Assemblies
    1. The installation of the the swivel base assembly requires removing and reinstalling the existing seats. You are responsible for following fastening torque specifications for pre-existing hardware and installing the swivel in a manner so that all safety systems are functional.
    2. The swivel must be in the forward-facing position with the threaded lock securely fastened while the vehicle is in motion and/or operation.  Using the swivel in any other position or configuration while the vehicle is in operation is strictly prohibited and constitutes misuse use of this product.  Misuse of this product can result in injury or possibly death.
  4. Ironcloud Metalworks assumes no responsibility for any damage, injury, etc. from parts or components failures, at any point during the installation. The purchaser agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ironcloud Metalworks from and against any loss, cost, or damage or injury of any kind.  If you, or anyone else installs or uses these products for any purpose, whether intended or not by Ironcloud Metalworks, you bear the full consequence of all risks and responsibilities at any point during the installation, use or any other activity relating to the installation or use of these products.
  5. No orders will be processed, nor will any products be shipped, unless these terms and conditions are accepted accepted during the checkout process.  In the event a terms and conditions acknowledgement is not available for a given sale, you agree to these terms by the act of completing your purchase.



RETURNS & ORDER CANCELLATION POLICY

RESTOCKING FEES & ORDER CANCELLATION OR RETURNS:

When an order is canceled or returned Ironcloud Metalworks is unable to recover fees charged by PayPal/Stripe (or any other payment processing platform that may be used) for processing a transaction. This cost can be crippling -- thus Ironcloud Metalworks reserves the right to charge a 4.75% restocking fee on all cancelled or returned orders.  This fee is not refundable and is what we are charged when someone cancels an order.


RETURNS & EXCHANGES: We stand behind our products at Ironcloud Metalworks and take customer satisfaction seriously -- as such we accept returns within 30 days from the receipt of your items.  To be eligible for refund -- the products must be in like new condition and arrive back at our facility in like-new/saleable condition.  

Before submitting a request for a return -- please review the details of our return/exchange policy below:

  1. In the event of a manufacturing defect, Ironcloud Metalworks will either allow you to return the item to Ironcloud Metalworks via pre-paid shipping or provide an alternate solution to restore the functionality of your item.   Ironcloud Metalworks reserves the sole and absolute discretion in what constitutes a manufacturing error or defect in your product.
  2. If we send you the wrong item, we will provide a return label for you to return the erroneous product back to our warehouse and ship you the correct unit once we receive the old unit back.  
  3. Returns for reasons outside of manufacturing defect or sending the wrong item are approved on a case-by-case basis by the sole and absolute discretion of Ironcloud Metalworks.

  5. Once the item is received by Ironcloud Metalworks, we will inspect the item to verify the product is in like-new condition and is resaleable at full price to another customer.  The determination of this condition is done at the sole and absolute discretion of Ironcloud Metalworks.  If the item is in like-new condition and resaleable -- a refunds will be processes for the full purchase price of your item--net of the 3.75% restocking fee and any shipping charges (unless the item is returned due to the conditions outlined in Items 1 & 2 -- in which Ironcloud Metalworks will refund the entire purchase amount including shipping.
  6. In the event a return for reasons other than those outlined in Item 1 above, the customer is responsible for all costs related to returning the package to Ironcloud Metalworks including packaging, insurance and shipping costs.
  7. All returns, regardless of reason, must be shipped with adequate packaging and full insurance.  Ironcloud Metalworks will not cover damage to the item that occurs during return shipping.
  8. Ironcloud Metalworks is NOT responsible for lost or stolen packages that have been marked as delivered. We will work with the customer to locate any lost packages, but ultimately any loss is the sole responsibility of the customer.  
  9. Returns are not accepted on products modified in any way.
  10. Custom orders are FINAL once ordered and custom products are thus not eligible for returns or cancellations.
  11. We are constantly tweaking and improving our products and as such we reserve the right to make changes to our products without updating our marketing materials, website, or any other portrayal, explanation or description of the item.  Products may differ from the images on our website.
  12. In the event of a return, Ironcloud Metalworks is not responsible for the repair of any modifications, damage, or alterations to your vehicle that result from the installation of your item under any circumstance.
